They also practice putting away their lunch boxes by finding the spot and storing them neatly, reinforcing organizational skills. Rounding out their morning, they get their backpacks ready for pick-up—cultivating planning, memory, and readiness . These small everyday tasks support autonomy and prepare children for future success.

By physically manipulating materials—like blocks, clay, or water—children deepen their understanding of concepts through sensory experiences, boosting memory retention and problem‑solving abilities. The open-air environment invites children to explore, play, and learn beyond the classroom walls.
